The Naumulten Lodge is surrounded on three sides by an alpine amphitheatre. Located high in the wilderness of the beautiful Valkyr Range, part of the Selkirk Mountains in British Columbia's Kootenays Region, every window of our backcountry lodge has a view of a world rarely seen. The Naumulten Lodge is lodging with a view! The main floor of the lodge has a spacious yet cozy feeling. This is true BC Backcountry Lodge. The big timber construction, with cedar paneling and fir flooring throughout, lends a country charm to your accommodations. The handcrafted dining table is capable of seating 12. The table is positioned to provide a view of British Columbia's alpine wonderland while you feast on the hearty and healthy meals that are prepared for you daily. The classic overstuffed furniture provides a comfortable environment at the end of the day. Downstairs there is also a drying room for wet gear, and a bathroom with a toilet and hot shower.
Upstairs there are 5 guest bedrooms and 2 staff bedrooms. Lodging is comfy! All the guest rooms have a double bed / twin bunk combination capable of sleeping a couple or two singles. All beds are outfitted with quality bedding including down duvets!
 Our backcountry lodge is situated at 2220m (7280') about 300m (900') below the ridges of Naumulten Mountain. Accessing the height of land is quickly accomplished. From here your view will encompass many surrounding mountain ranges: The Valhalla Provincial Park to the east, The Valkyr Range to the south, The Selkirks to the north and the Monashee and Granby Provincial Parks to the west.
At the end of a hard days' play you can soothe your tired muscles while relaxing in a sauna! The Sauna Hut features a changing room and bathroom complete
with indoor plumbing and a hot shower!
We are members of the Backcountry Lodges of British Columbia Association (BLBCA), a professional organization that strives to maintain high quality standards in the ski touring industry. Like many in the association, our wilderness operation is non-mechanized. There is no road access to The Naumulten Lodge. Access is by helicopter or foot, thereby creating a true BC backcountry experience. In winter, we offer weeklong ski touring vacations - some of the worlds best powder skiing. In summer, we offer multi-day alpine hiking trips. Come and experience the pure mountain wilderness of the Valkyrs.
